Jasmine Sambac

My bougainvillea plants did not produce much flowers this year, but my newest plant did not disappoint me.

Jasminum Sambac flower. (trying to figure out what specie - either Mysore mulli or Arabian Nights specie)
My Jasmine plant finally had its first bloom after 6 months of growth from a stem cutting given to me by my opposite neighbour. This bud opened the same night this photo was taken. Love the fragrance and the flowers are double petals.

Solar eclipse

Year of the Female Earth Cow! starts on Jan 26 with an annular eclipse of the sun which looks like a 'ring of fire'. However, in KL only a partial eclipse is visible. Eclipse starts at sunset 5.32pm. So probably the weather at late afternoon would be darker than usual and even weird. Caution: Dont look at the sun.

Some photos of the annular eclipse taken at different locations.

This 3 shots taken in USA.

This photo taken at Kuala Trengganu. Eclipse started at about 5.30 to 7pm.

Photo taken at Manila Bay, Philippines.

Photo taken at Indonesia.

Arowana fish

1.1.09 - Started 2009 with a foot massage because wanted to try. I was scared to try 'cos I have seen a woman limping home. RM20 for 40 minutes, from the knee down to the toes only. Was ok not that painful, actually it was good. (really a luxury for me but since it was new year considered it a treat for both of us.)

Kok Kai's arowana. Expensive pet. Purchase price around rm1800/- for a little fry. Now grown a lot and very silvery and golden tail.

Wedding

Marriage of Sue's daughter, Vanessa to Kenji Chan on 29.12.08.

The Program cover featuring the couple by the seaside.

Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brickfields.

The church, built in 1924.

Drinks/cocktails outside Mayang Sari Grand Ballroom before dinner starts.

Inside the ballroom.

Their wedding photo albums were displayed for guests to view and I must say the photos were very artistically photographed outdoors, on a beach in Langkawi Island. By the time I finished looking at the photos, I can feel the essence of love, romance, happiness and joy of holy matrimony; and makes me want to go to the seaside! I love the sun sea and sand. Thats great photography, unlike the usual studio-posed serious type. I now understand why KidChan is known as the Celebrity Photographer. He also happens to be the groom's brother.
