A reminder to self: Planet Mercury visible after sunset in the Eastern sky (for Southern Hemisphere). Very bright. Watch it from now till September. From 6 Oct - visible before sunrise in the east (for Northern Hemisphere). From 18 Dec - visible after sunset. (for both Hemisphere fair viewing).
All the media attention on Andy is now gone with him leaving KL.
The reporters and photographers finally managed to capture him on film for the world to see after more than a week of staking out his home. Quite a tough job. Under intense media scrutiny the past week, Andy has no choice and over the dead body of Carol's father, he now has to acknowledge their relationship to the the public. Its a good ending.
Video : Arrival at HongKong airport to media frenzy.
8TV news report about Andy Lau not seen at funeral. The scene became chaotic as soon as the hearse started to depart for the cemetery. Cameras clamouring after the mourners. The HK reporters were the most 'aggressive' and skillful in pursuing for the elusive Andy Lau, but unfortunately Andy did not follow the cortege. He remained at home with his wife who was pregnant. Pregnant women usually would not take the risk of going to the cemetery, more so with so much 'unwanted' people around. She might get pushed down or suffer a miscarriage. The family requested the Undertaker to employ non-chinese workers, so a lot of Indian workers were seen there (Indians dont know who is Andy so wont secretly snap photos of him. Workers were not allowed to carry mobile phones.

Pictures and description of Andy Lau's Bukit Jalil house. After the funeral was over, the neighbourhood returned to normal. This is how Andy Lau's house area is everyday - very deserted and quiet. No human want to walk here - too lonely, scared of robbers and snatch thieves.
The way to go to Andy's house.
The road leading to Andy's house which is on the left. The 3 white corner houses at the end of this road, beside the traffic lights is his.
Traffic lights. Turn left is guard post and his house (not seen here). The corner house (pink wall) seen in this picture is his neighbour.
At the traffic lights. These shops are on the right side of the road.
This is the view of Andy's house from the shops. Andy's house is on the left (white wall), his neighbour (pink wall).
Trees strategically planted to protect privacy.
Side view beside guard post. Feng shui cures are practiced here. 9 rounded trees are planted here. Note the tall vertical wall with small round holes on the right side of the house - that wall is to protect against the negative energy from the guard post "boom" barrier. When cars go in and out, the 2 booms has to be raised, so the wall is to dispel all the bad energy or "sha chi" pointing at his house.
Close up of his backyard. Note the enclosed tree with the tree top reaching 1st floor. Inside is the indoor garden, where they can sit and have fresh air and sunshine hidden from outsider's view. Outsiders cannot see them but they can see outsiders easily from inside.
3 neat houses in a row (back view). The 5 narrow vertical windows on ground floor is the laundry area where they dry their clothes. If you are famous dont hang your clothes outside to dry or risk it being stolen (...and then sold on e-bay hahaha)
Life is good when you have money.

....I can feel "Andy Lau's heartbeat"...hahaha....
at Madame Tussaud Wax Museum, Hong Kong (Dec 2006). Andy's wax figure is the only one fitted with an electronic device inside its chest to give a pulse "like a heart beating" inside.
The things we do to see an actor....even go to a funeral....hehe.
We appeared in the newspaper! After patiently waiting more than 2 hours, some reward to be part of the news in print as well as a fleeting moment on TV news.
The two photos in the centrepage of a Chinese newspaper - Guang Ming Daily, KL.
My umbrella attracted reporters since the main "star" at the funeral now turned out to be umbrellas....ella....ella....el....el....
The funny caption on our photo by Guang Ming Online says: People were also holding an umbrella, but unfortunately the color and Zhu "umbrella dance," does not match, otherwise the fish in troubled waters. (Figure: Guangming Daily)
Guang Ming Daily, (Northern Edition) - My sister from Alor Star brought this newspaper for me to view - my picture in the centre of the centrepage.
To Andy Lau - you are mean, should have come out at least once and greeted your fans. KL fans very nice people...you should know, your girlfriend is from here near our neighbourhood.
(More pics coming up.
More pics in previous 2 posts.)

Some pics about who is Andy and Carol.
Carol Zhu, Andy Lau's woman!!
Andy and Carol - in their younger days. (Andy 174cm, Birthday 27.9.61, Given Birthname is Lau Fook Wing).
Carol at Andy's concert Jan 08.
---------------------------------------------------------------- From Gloria Joy to Andy Lau's fans, the photos at the funeral are taken by me after spending more than 3 hours there. It was worth it as I am a fan. Moreover, so near, why not have fun and feel some excitement in my mundane life, plus most importantly the daughter was available to accompany me and we could both have fun together. (BTW Never been so happy at a funeral.)
To: Sis Linda, wish you were here; just like when we were young and went chasing after Chow Yuen Fatt and Michelle Mei Suet from Hongkong. Then we were right behind them literally breathing down their necks ! These pics are especially for you.
After seeing the news on TV I can confirm the woman I saw walking behind the hearse (on the left) and holding a prayer bead in her left hand was Carol's sister. She was wearing a mask at the cemetery site while the coffin is being buried. Here no umbrellas shield the family.) So my own conclusion was Andy Lau was not walking behind the hearse at all! I think they are not married because no children.
I asked the photographer from American Chinese TV and he said he saw Andy on his first day here - it was his 3rd day now. Some people saw Andy when the family was doing all the last rites this morning. A white Toyota (maybe Lexus or Estima type - I am not sure of the model) had the back passenger windows heavily tinted - maybe this is the car Andy travels in when he is in KL. Also a Black Mercedes with Singapore Registration 9188 followed the funeral procession. Could it be (a wild guess by me) Andy's sister who long time ago was married to a Singaporean? Inside the back was 2 women, in front passenger a man and a driver.
Andy Lau's "love-nest" in K.L.Side view of the 3-storey house, they own 3 houses in a row, so a lot of living space.
Back view of the 3 houses. A few million ringgit.
Police near the house while traffic police were stationed near the main road by the AFC building.
Portable toilets - blue door (male); red door (female). The toilets must be stinking after I saw the reaction of one woman who opened the door and then didnt go in. After 4 days definitely must be stinking.
Photographers taking our picture the minute we arrived at the scene. So I took their picture.
NTV7 crew, 8TV, TV2 were there.
Reporters, photogs, both local and foreign - from HK, also one from American Chinese TV. (Nosy aunty asked him, and he said in America got a lot of Andy's fans too).
The musicians leading the cortege.
Close up for those who read chinese. What the chinese words means?
Shooing away everyone who holds a camera, even us, shouting: dont take pictures!
Photo below from Guang Ming newspaper. This is the best view taken from the garden of Andy's neighbour - the house beside his but separated by the road. The photographer and us sneaked in past the guard barrier when the chaos started and the guards were too busy.
Hong Kong reporters chasing after the cortege. They were the most persistent and daring and take their job seriously,
Update 10 May 2012 - Thursday Andy Lau finally became a father at 50 years old. His baby daughter was named Lau Xiang Hui in the birth certificate. This name according to the fortune tellers will bring luck to the mother. The other name originally chosen which was Lau Yun Shan purportedly brings luck to the father. Andy wants to have a second child, so his wife needs all the luck to bear another pregnancy. His 46 year old wife gave birth to a daughter weighing 6 lbs (2.72 kg) on the night of Tuesday, a.m.date 9th May. Astrological sign under Taurus. Chinese zodiac year Dragon. He's in a happy mood. For curiosity's sake, here are Andy Lau's hands. Does his palm prints shows a successful man I wonder. Does it shows a man who bans his wife from sharing his public life.
This photo was taken on March 27, 2005. As you can see he was wearing a "wedding" ring.
Nice smooth hands, long slim fingers.
Reporters staking out at the hospital in HK.
Update 20 June 2012
Andy and family will be moving down to reside in Kuala Lumpur soon. Carol and baby will be based in KL while Andy will travel between the two countries. His work base continues to be in Hong Kong but will stay in KL when he is not working. So its a long distance marriage and the only logical and best arrangement in the interest of their baby and new motherhood.
I was a busybody this morning. Went over at 8am to look at HK actor Andy Lau Tak Wah's father-in-law's funeral at Taman Esplanade, Jalan 9/155B, Bukit Jalil. Too early, funeral at about 10am went home, had breakfast, and went there at 9.45am. Lots of reporters and NTV7 was there. Also lots of guards didnt let us go past the guard house. Anyway couldnt see Andy because lots of umbrellas were blocking the mourners behind the hearse, but I manage to see a woman who resembles Carol. Also a little girl's legs and the neck and back of a man's head. They tried to stop photographers. Here are some pics before my camera battery died. Umbrellas shielding the family for privacy.
No entry for unauthorised people. Only residents and mourners were allowed through the guardpost.
Buddhist nuns were chanting prayers. About 20 orphans (children average age 12 years) from the Ti-Ratana Welfare Home were at the funeral. The children accompanied the cortege to the cemetery.
The hearse. This lucky old man - has such a grand send-off to the afterworld.
Under the umbrellas are the immediate family members.
The men formed a tight barrier to shield the family.
Not a scary funeral at all. Curious spectators.
They walked more than 1 km. before boarding the buses at the main road - intersection joining Kesas Highway.
(Note: The government is starting construction of the new LRT station at this intersection. So Andy's housing area wont be so quiet and private.)
The hearse leaving the house. (video)
Tired now from hanging out at the funeral of a total stranger in the midday sun. Silly or not? Will be posting more photos tomorrow.
